Today, we are gonna be talking about a clothing article that has been in style since the 90s; Palazzo Pants!

What are palazzo pants?

Palazzo pants are long women’s trousers cut with a loose, extremely wide leg that flares out from the waist.

Palazzo trousers are popular as a summer season style, as they are loose and tend to be flattering in light, flowing fabrics that are breathable in hot weather. Silk crepe/crape, jersey, and other natural fibre textiles are popular fabrics for this design. Palazzo trousers are less frequently seen during the winter months, but they may be found in wool or heavy synthetic fabrics as well.

ARTICLE ONE

SHIRTS

Shirts can make the palazzo pants look a bit more corporate. When styling palazzo pants with shirts, its best that it is tucked in as this will bring more attention to the pants.

[C]Styling these pants with Tees are also acceptable since it’ll make the outfit more fun as shown below.

ARTICLE TWO

CROP-TOPS

Crop tops, although not my personal favorite, form a really good pair with palazzo pants. This is because the palazzo pants are in full view and draw all the attention since the tops are short. And that is the main reason for wearing the palazzo pants, to make a statement.

LEATHER JACKETS

Leather jackets are styled with palazzo pants to give that sophisticated, bold and fierce look.

Leather jackets are also preferably styled with printed palazzo pants to even out the upper body and lower body.

ARTICLE FOUR

DENIM JACKETS

Denim jackets bring a whole new texture to your outfit. The slightly rough surface of denim perfectly matches the smooth feel of the palazzo pants.

Although, short jackets bring attention to the pants, long jackets are preferable for the palazzo pants when it comes to denim.

CARDIGANS

Wanna look comfortable, relaxed and like nothing could bother you at the moment in palazzo pants? Cardigans are your choice. Wearing sweater cardigans can make you look the whole package but still comfortable as seen above. But leaning towards the comfortable side, long cardigans are paired with the pants, and they also elongate your body.

Also, short cardicans can look formal and casual at the same time, so can be worn for a casual friday at work.

TIPS:

Here are a few tips for styling the palazzo pants;

Always tuck in a shirt.

Always accessorize.

Heels and sandals are preferable.

Never style with backpacks.

Accessorize with beads.
